Artist: Minjung Kim

Curator: Barbara Cuetro (Germany)

Kim Minjung studied Visual Communication Design at Hongik University, Seoul, and earned an MFA in Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts. Her work has screened  at international film festivals and media venues including Toronto International Film festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Portland International Film Festival, Ex-is,DMZ Docs, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Insa Art Space, Art Space B39, White Block Art Center and MMCA Goyang Studio. She has received awards, including Best Ex-is Award, Nemaf Best Korea Propose and Tom Berman Award for Most Promising filmmaker. She recently resides at Incheon Art Platform and is working on her new project.

Barbara Cueto is a curator and researcher interested in the intersection of activism, new technologies and contemporary art. She has convened and curated projects internationally at institutions like MMOMA Moscow for the 6th Moscow Biennale for Young Art in Russia, Asian Culture Centre in Gwangju in South Korea, La Casa Encendida in Madrid, Bétonsalon in Paris, De Domijnen in Sittard, Marres in Maastricht, Impakt Festival in Utrecht, and de Appel arts centre in Amsterdam, all in the Netherlands. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School of Cultural Analysis of the University of Amsterdam, where she is a research fellow. She is alumna of the curatorial programme of de Appel in Amsterdam, holds a MA in Arts Management from the University of Maastricht (NL), and a BA in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid (SP). Besides that, she is also on the Editorial Board of the Dutch Journal of Gender Studies, and she has recently published _Authenticity?_ with Valiz Amsterdam
