1990년대 한국 페니미즘 계열의 작가로 평가되어오던 작가 이순종(b.1953)은 한국인, 여성, 작가로서의 정체성을 실험하면서 신윤복의 <미인도>를 재해석한 대표작 <여인>작업 시리즈로 호평을 받았다. 2006년 아르코미술관에서 개인전 후 지난 30년 동안 작가만의 독창적인 세계를 구축해 가면서 있다. 생경하고 다양한 재료와 다채롭고 자유로우며 실험적인 작업 활동을 통해 정체성을 탐구하며 다양한 작업의 스펙트럼을 선보이고 있다.
Lee Sun-jong (b. 1953), who was evaluated as a writer of Korean feminism in the 1990s, received favorable reviews for her representative work <Woman> series, which reinterpreted Shin Yun-bok's <Beautiful Island> while experimenting with her identity as a Korean, a woman, and a writer. Since his solo exhibition at the Arko Art Museum in 2006, the artist has been building his own unique world for the past 30 years. Through unfamiliar and diverse materials and colorful, free, and experimental work activities, he explores his identity and presents a diverse spectrum of work.
