KDK(1973년생), 본명 김도균은 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 작가로, 건축적 공간에 대한 미학적·개념적 탐구를 중심으로 작업을 이어가고 있다. 미니멀한 시각 언어로 잘 알려진 그는, 시각적·물리적 아름다움을 넘어서는 구조미를 통해 공간이 지닌 감정적, 사회적, 심리적 차원을 탐색한다. 그의 작품 제목은 하나의 영문 알파벳으로 구성되어 있으며, 이는 마치 암호처럼 다의적인 해석을 유도하고 넓은 상상력을 열어두는 방식으로 기능한다.
최근 개인전으로는 《ABSTRAKTE FOTOS》(로열갤러리, 서울, 2023), 《g》(두산갤러리, 서울, 2022)가 있으며, 주요 단체전으로는 《문명: 우리가 사는 방식》(쿤스트할레 뮌헨, 독일, 2025 예정), 《땅의 지혜 – 한국 건축에 바치는 오마주》(리움 삼성미술관, 서울, 2022) 등이 있다.

KDK (b. 1973), also known as Dokyun Kim, is an artist based in Seoul whose practice focuses on the aesthetic and conceptual exploration of architectural spaces. Known for his minimalist visual language, KDK investigates the emotional, social, and psychological dimensions of space through structural beauty that transcends the visual and physical. His works are titled with single English letters, functioning like codes—open to multiple meanings and inviting broad interpretation.
KDK’s recent solo exhibitions include ABSTRAKTE FOTOS at Royal Gallery (Seoul, Korea, 2023) and g at Doosan Gallery (Seoul, Korea, 2022). His works have been featured in major group exhibitions such as Civilization: The Way We Live Now (Kunsthalle, Munich, Germany, 2025) and Wisdom of the Earth – A Homage to Korean Architecture (Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, Seoul, Korea, 2022).
His work is held in the collections of the Kunstbibliothek Staatliche Museen zu Berlin – Photography Collection (Berlin, Germany), the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Korea), and the UBS Art Collection (Switzerland), among others.
