민예은(1986년생)은 복잡하게 얽힌 다중 세계와 개인의 경험들이 물리적 세계 안에서 어떻게 연결되고 작동하는지를 탐구한다. 그녀는 수집한 시간, 사물, 장소를 임시적인 공간 안에 배치한다. 각각의 요소는 물리적으로 연결되어 있지 않지만, 움직임이나 생략을 통해 관람자의 인식 안에서 구체적이거나 비일상적인 형태로 연결된다. 그녀는 장소, 관람자, 작품 사이의 관계를 시각적으로 구성하며, 이 관계들이 특정한 시간과 공간 속에서 효과를 생성하거나 소멸하도록 만든다. 최근에는 파편화 없이 다중 세계에 동시에 존재하는 인간의 상태에 주목하고 있다.
프랑스 클레르몽메트로폴 고등예술학교(École Supérieure d’Art Clermont Métropole)에서 학사 및 석사 과정을 마쳤으며, 개인전 7회를 포함해 다수의 전시에 참여했다. 주요 개인전으로는 《예측 불가능한 투명성》(대안공간 루프, 서울, 2019), 《Sens Dessus Dessous》(주프랑스 한국문화원, 파리, 2015) 등이 있으며, 주요 단체전으로는 《감각운동 스타디움》(수원시립미술관 광교관, 수원, 2024), 《HEXED, VEXED and SEXED》(West Den Haag, 헤이그, 2023), 《스페이스 심포니》(파라다이스 아트 스페이스, 인천, 2022) 등이 있다. 2023년에는 케르게넥 아트센터(Kerguéhennec Art Center), 2019년 뉴욕 트라이앵글 아트 협회(Triangle Arts Association), 2018년 국립현대미술관 고양 레지던시에 참여했다.
MIN Ye-Eun (b.1986) explores how the interactions of multiple, complex worlds and individual experiences are connected and operate within the physical world. She arranges collected time, objects, and places in a temporary space. Each element of her work is not physically connected; however, through movement or omission, they connect in the viewer’s mind in specific or atypical forms. She visually shapes the relationships among the place, the viewer, and the artwork, configuring these relationships to generate and dissipate specific effects in certain times and spaces. Recently, she has been focusing on our existence in multiple worlds simultaneously, without fragmentation. She received her bachelor's and master's degree from École Supérieur d’Art Clermont Métropole in France. The artist held seven solo exhibitions including Unpredictable Invisibility (Alternative Space LOOP, Seoul, 2019), Sens Dessus Dessous (Korean Cultural Center, Paris, 2015), also participated in several group exhibitions Sensorimotor Stadium(Suwon Art Space Gwanggyo, Suwon, 2024), HEXED, VEXED and SEXED(West Den Hagg, Den Hagg, 2023), Space Symphony(Paradise Art Space, Incheon, 2022). She participated in Kerguehennec Art Center in 2023, Triangle Arts Association in New York in 2019, MMCA Goyang Residency in 2018.
